This project identifies and analyses organized and spontaneous violence occurrences and patterns in cities within and adjacent to Abuja (FCT) over a period of 13 years (2009-2022). Relevant data and information are gathered through online news tracking from reputable media outlets such as Channels, BBC, Sahara reporters and social media monitoring. This study aims to deduce socio-technical causative factors and suggest a new socio-spatial framework that can be applied in similar contexts in Nigeria and Africa.
